Adamu Garba suggests renaming UNN after Queen Elizabeth to honor her.

Former Presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, Adamu Garba has proposed that the University of Nigeria, Nsukka should be renamed after Queen Elizabeth to immortalise her.

After his claim of UNN being the first university was challenged, he attached a response saying that UNN was the first university under sovereign Nigeria.

Garba also said those that attended the school should start planning to redo their CVs.

He tweeted;

Since it is the first university in Nigeria, we should rename the University of Nigeria, Nsukka to Queen Elizabeth University of Nigeria in order to immortalize Queen Elizabeth.

The University of Nigeria, Nsukka would have been renamed in honor of Queen Elizabeth more easily if I could have communicated with our grandparents.

They were fortunate to see her value. Seven decades on the throne can only be the result of God’s mercy and old age, and age is a grace.

There was a University of Ibadan there before Nigeria gained independence. The first university established by independent Nigeria is University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Those of you who attended UNN, Nsukka, prepare to update your resumes. Hopefully, your former school will be renamed to Queen Elizabeth University of Nigeria. I commend you on this outstanding development.
