It has been reported that his two eldest children, Prince Charles and Princess Anne, were by Queen Elizabeth II’s bedside when she passed away on Thursday, September 8, as Britain mourns the passing of its beloved monarch after an incredible 70 years on the throne.

As they hurried to Balmoral to meet her yesterday, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward, his wife Sophie, and Prince William all flew in from Berkshire via private jet to Aberdeen. But it is acknowledged that they did not make it to the estate in time for her to pass away.

Prince Harry reportedly made an effort to be to Balmoral in time, according to Mail Online. But he didn’t show up until 8 o’clock, over an hour and a half after the public was informed of the Queen’s passing.

At the age of 96, the monarch with the longest reign in the nation passed away at Balmoral in Scotland on September 8th.

Thousands of distraught mourners gathered yesterday evening outside the gates of Buckingham Palace and other royal structures as a result of her death, which caused a tremendous outpouring of emotions.
