Security and safety will improve until December says Aregbesola.
Rauf Aregbesola, the interior minister, has promised Nigerians that security conditions will improve from now till December.
On Monday, September 5, Aregbesola provided the assurance while participating in a joint security press conference with the Chief of Defense Staff, the Ministers of Defence, Information, and Police Affairs.
“Nigerians have the certainty that their security is guaranteed from all of us,” he stated. Due to the president’s directives, we are here to reassure you that you are secure and that, as we go closer to December, our safety and security will improve daily.
What we are currently dealing with are mainly confrontations of cowardly attacks from those who have been defeated in one area or another but are still trying to appear strong. By God’s help, we’re going to accomplish our ultimate aim of completely eliminating them and restoring peace to every square inch of Nigerian soil by the end of this year. Security and safety will improve until December says Aregbesola.
“We’re determined to make sure that every square inch of Nigerian soil is protected, even though it seems lofty. The decision has been made, and an order has been issued.
Aregbesola added that despite the government’s ameliorative attempts, the COVID-19 restrictions and privations had a detrimental effect on the current security concerns.
But we’ll keep guarding the property and lives of foreigners and Nigerians living among us. We will continue to strive for national security and thwart elements that pose a threat to the populace. To protect every square inch of our territory, we will exercise the full weight of the government. We won’t stop until Nigerian peace has been entirely restored.
