The best song ever is Wizkid’s “Esence,” according to Kanye West.

The superstar uploaded the track cover to Instagram on Sunday and praised it as the “best song in music history to date” in the caption.

The remix of Essence, which was chosen as the 2021 summer anthem, peaked at number one on the Billboard chart. It was nominated for various awards, such as the Grammys, and went on to win the BET Award for Best Collaboration.

The song, which was released in 2020, recently received a Gold certification from the RIAA for having sold more than 500,000 copies in the US. It is an African artist’s first accomplishment.

Kanye also shared some of his favorite music in other posts, citing Beyoncé’s “Church Girl” as his favorite track from her most recent “Renaissance” album. The song of the year, according to him, is “God did” by Dj Khaled and Rick Ross. He also named Anthony Jeselnik’s “Thought and prayers” as one of his favorites.
